Rockpools is bringing new creative experiences to everyone in Hartlepool.

Launched in 2026, Rockpools is a new arts and cultural programme designed with and for local communities.

With thriving arts education, strong maritime heritage, and now home to TV & film production studios, Hartlepool is a place filled with talented creatives.

But there are also many other people who are not currently engaging in arts and culture…

"We believe that creativity is for everyone, and so Rockpools is designed to connect with as many people as possible in Hartlepool. We want to work with communities across the town, to find ways to make creativity and culture uniquely meaningful to each person and neighbourhood."

Getting connected to arts and creativity can improve everyone’s wellbeing, at any stage of our lives.

We know that there are huge advantages to individuals and communities if you get involved in arts activities. Developing new skills, improving physical and mental health, bringing communities together, reducing loneliness and animating the places we live – and this is just the start.
