Beach Clean-up

Date: Thursday 29th October
Time: 10am - 12.15pm
Location: Seaton Beach & Seaton  Community Hub
Age: Any age, but best suited to age 7+ and their families

Free - pre-booking essential.

Join Coastal Ranger Nicole and the Rockpools team for an eco-friendly clean-up and craft session! You’ll learn about how to care for our local beaches, and come away with your own hand decorated bag! Nicole will guide you through the first half of the session. We’ll spend some time cleaning up Seaton beachfront – with a scavenger hunt built in. This is a great opportunity for little ones and their families to learn more about protecting the environment along our coastline in a fun and engaging way.

Next, at Seaton Community Hub, you'll take part in decorating an eco-friendly tote bag, using stencils and fabric pens. At the end of the session, you’ll receive a few Rockpools goodies to take away in your colourful new bag.

The activity is open to anyone but is ideal for those aged 7+ and their families. You will need to wear sensible shoes (boots, wellies etc), to avoid trips and slips on wet surfaces. We also advise wearing appropriate clothing for the weather as we’ll be outside for the first hour of the session. The first half of the session will take place on Seaton Carew beach, so those taking part will need to be able to comfortably move on uneven sandy ground.

If you have any questions regarding access requirements for this session please contact us via info@rockpools.org or call 01429 858351
