Have you ever wanted to try your hand at printing with recycled drink cartons, but didn't know where to start? Join Teesside artist, Jessica, for the perfect taster workshop to introduce you to a world of printing with drink cartons.
Yes, it’s as strange as it sounds. In the session you will learn how to scratch and peel a design into a carton, how to ink it up and press it onto paper by hand.
Bring an empty drinks carton, or use one of ours. Open it out and you have a printing plate. The best moment is peeling the paper back and seeing your unique print, because nobody thinks you can do that with your juice carton.
You'll go home with your own prints, and you'll know how to do it again at your kitchen table with whatever is in the recycling.
If you have any questions regarding access requirements for this session please contact us via info@rockpools.org or call 01429 858351
Jessica Leigh is a printmaker and painter from Teesside. She teaches people across Tees Valley. Most arrive sure they can't do art, and yet always seem to prove themselves wrong in the end.
